1. Rohan Veal - Champion International Moth Sailor
Rohan started sailing at the young age of 8, but ever since he was born, he was surrounded by boats when his father was sailing Gwen 12's and Lightweight Sharpies. After progressing with reasonable sucess through the national junior ranks of Sabots and 420's, Rohan decided to take some time off whilst studying Engineering and Business at RMIT University, to compete in swimming, triathlon and waterpolo. This cross over even earned himself a silver and bronze medal in waterpolo at the 1997 and 1998 Australian University Games respectively. In early 2000, he immediately purchased a Moth skiff, as this had long been an ambition of his. It wasn't long before he out-sailed this wide and heavy Moth and purchased a full-carbon narrow skiff where he finished a very commendable 8th overall in his first ever Australian Moth championships.

2. Phil Sharp Racing
Phil Sharp has recently proven himself to be one of Britain’s most promising up and coming offshore sailors after finishing fourth in the 2005 Mini Transat out of 72 starters. This is a solo transatlantic race from France to Brazil for 21ft boats, and is considered to be one of the toughest offshore races. His ultimate goal is to be the first Briton to win the famous Vendée Globe single-handed round-the-world race. This race is the Everest of sailing, involving one man battling against the elements in gruelling conditions, non-stop around the world. To bridge the gap he aims to compete for class victory in the Route du Rhum this November, the most famous of the transatlantic races which is expected to attract over one million people to the start in St Malo.

12. ElaineChua.Com
Not so long ago I was introduced to sailing not by my personal urge to have a try but by the need to be more professional in my job. Couldn’t be marketing dinghies when I didn’t have a clue about what makes the wind driven mode of transport tick! Little did I know that that would have sparked off a trail of events that have led me to where I am now.

16. Hydroptere - Alain Thebault
Le site officiel de l'Hydroptère, ce trimaran révolutionnaire qui vole sur l'eau. Born in 1962, under the sign of the Virgo, half-mad and half-wise depending on the tides, Alain Thébault once had a dream : creating a flying boat. In the sailing world, there are many Ulysses. Sailors, cunning people who know how make it through the tempest and to use a bit of cunning with the technical and human elements to arrive safe and sound. But Alain Thébault is the only living Icarus among the oceanic skippers. He is provided with an inventive fever, scorn for danger and the need to burn himself to every suns.

22. Trimaran Idec - Francis Joyon
" S'il faut y aller à la dure, j'irai ". Ainsi parlait Francis Joyon à l'été 2003, avant de savoir si son budget serait bouclé au moment de prendre la mer. Ce sujet-là avait été réglé une bonne fois pour toutes, lorsque l'homme avait décidé de laisser libre cours à son vieux rêve. A website documenting the records and attempts of Francis Joyon.
