Hanse Sail
Jedes Jahr im August findet die Hanse Sail in Rostock statt, die eine Million Besucher und Gäste in den Stadthafen, die Innenstadt und nach Warnemünde zieht. The HANSE SAIL is the biggest maritime event in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. During the 2nd weekend in August more than 200 tall ships and traditional sailing vessels attract far more than a million visitors.
The HANSE SAIL is an exciting event with interesting entertainment and cultural highlights. Visitors are fascinated by majestic windjammer, lovingly restored traditional sailing ships and museum vessels. Approximately 30.000 charter guests can expect an amazing experience during day- and evening trips. Regattas of traditional sailing vessels off Warnemünde are especially interesting as this is one of the best sailing areas in Germany.

Make More Sail is an original and new musical which accurately tells the story of the days leading up to the Battle of Trafalgar and after the death of Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson.
The action is viewed through the eyes of John Pasco, the Signal Lieutenant of Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory. Some of the songs are based on the signals given to the British fleet as the conflict drew closer and others are based on Nelson's last letter home, his prayer before battle and his dying words. The common struggle against the elements for all those involved in the battle remains an enduring feature of the musical .

Marine Artist | Jim Bolland
Jim was born in 1936 and grew up in a seaside suburb of Wellington, the Capital City of New Zealand. His father was a competitive sailor, his mother the daughter of another competitive sailor. The northerly course weather mark of the local yacht club was across the road from the sun porch window of the family home. His sporting fate was sealed! Apart from art and English studies his school days were notable for detentions as discipline for drawing yachts in his math exercise books.
