Description: Hoo Ness is a friendly yacht club on the north side of the River Medway, opposite Chatham Maritime and Gillingham. It is easily reached from London and all parts of Kent and provides access to some excellent sheltered sailing waters, with easy access to the Thames Estuary and beyond. The club is owned by its members and we practise self-help as far as possible to minimise the cost of membership. Although most of our members own sailing cruisers, we also have some members with motor cruisers and a few with dinghies.

The club has two slipways, three scrubbing docks, a tender park, space for winter storage and about 100 deep water trot (fore and aft) and swinging moorings. The jetty leading to docks 2 and 3 is to be replaced with a floating pontoon in 2008. A members' workshop will soon be available and pressure hoses and outboard flushing facilities are already in place. The club owns a tractor which is operated by trained and certificated members and a trot boat is also available for use by members. Hoo Marina, adjacent to the club, has full workshop and brokerage services.
