1. Mutineer 15 Class Association Website - Welcome!
The Official Mutineer 15 Class Association Website. The most complete resource for information, links, tips, articles, forums and more. The Mutineer is a 15' sloop that was introduced in 1971 by Chrysler Marine's Sailboat division. It was developed by boat designers Rod MacAlpine-Downie and Dick Gibbs. The boat was initially intended to be marketed as a beginner's daysailer and trainer, but with the extensive features such as the roller-furling jib, spinnaker, foredeck launcher tube, boom vang, hiking straps, hiking stick, jib haulers, and more, this was no beginner's boat. If anything, it was a racer trainer. All of these features were considered innovative, and leading edge in those days, so the fact that the basic design was never changed, and that many of the innovations are found on most of today’s racing boats says a lot about the designers. It turned out to be an all-round fun daysailer for families, couples or individuals. Her exceptionally wide beam and spacious 7' cockpit make it easy for her to carry a large crew, yet sail on her proper lines. The Mutineer's large sail plan feels every wisp of breeze.

2. Hunter Class - South Africa - Official Website
Hunter Boats was started in 1969, with the first "famous" boat being the NATIONAL SQUIB, designed and finished by Oliver Lee, and moulded by the Essex Boat Company. The Squib has gone on to reach national status with more than 800 on the water. In 1970, a chap named Michael Poland requested that the builder design a "lid" for the Squib, to enable him to sail it across the English Channel. As Poland's other favourite past-time was hunting, the boat was named the HUNTER 19! Oliver also designed a Squib with a lifting keel, called a TRACER, and then redesigned the Hunter 19 naming the new boat the EUROPA.

3. New England Beetle Cat Boat Association - NEBCBA
The Beetle Cat Boat is a twelve-foot, gaff-rigged wooden catboat designed by John Beetle in 1921 and originally built by the Beetle family of New Bedford, MA, famous for their whaleboats. NEBCBA's original purpose, however, has been expanded to include promoting the maintenance, restoration, preservation and just plain sailing the Beetle Cat Boat. It is one of the oldest classes raced actively and probably the only one still made exclusively in wood. The New England Beetle Cat Boat Association is dedicated to continuing this success into the future.
