Description: Sailing for Justice, associated with Global Ocean Challenge and Make Poverty History. My ambition to sail round the world has origins back to 1984 and Live Aid. In 2002 I was directed by the editor of Yachting World, Andrew Bray, to contact Josh Hall whom he thought would take an interest in my project and be willing to help. Within two minutes of my call to Josh he said he would help and has supported my cause ever since. Once Josh and I became friends I asked him why he had been so willing to help and so readily. His reply will stay with me for ever. "There was something in your voice and in your cause, sailing has been good to me and by helping you this is a great opportunity to give something back for all I have received".
