Description: Designers of custom yachts, power and sail. we are based in New Zealand and specialise in creating unique solutions to each clients requirements. Born in Auckland in 1961 to a sailing family, Brett Bakewell's history in competitive sailing includes National and International events ranging from dinghies, multihull and match racing through to offshore events. After completing a degree in Architecture at the University of Auckland, Brett's professional yacht design career began whilst working with the NZ Challenge for the America's Cup in 1986 and then continued for nine years working alongside Laurie Davidson, prior to starting his own studio in 1994.
